Future Old School is an all-rap dance party that takes place on the last Saturday of every month at Friends and Lovers in Crown Heights.  Started in 2014 by Brooklyn-based DJs Dash Speaks, NSR, and Will Buck as a forum to play the old-school rap music on which they grew up for themselves and their friends, FOS has since become one of the best monthly parties in New York City.  It's a fresh take on an old-school party - grounded in the music that pulls at the heart-strings of millennial hip hop heads while simultaneously trending towards avant-garde rap and rap adjacent beats.  Past guests have included Pete Rock, Pharoahe Monch, Havoc of Mobb Deep, The Beatnuts, DJ Premier, Rahzel, DJ Maseo of De La Soul, Lord Finesse, Evil Dee, DMC Champion DJ Esquire, Statik Selektah, Mr Cheeks, and Grand Wizard Theodore.

This is a party for people who love hip hop. It's for people who care about real DJs playing real rap music, who take pride in living in the same city where Nas, Big Pun, and Cam'ron were born.

This is a party for people who want to dance without being scrutinized by a doorman, who don't need to adhere to a dress code to be cool.

This is a party for people who know that "Brooklyn New York City where they paint murals of Biggie" has a lot more to offer than found objects, farm-to-table restaurants, and condos.

This is a little bit of Future, a whole lot of Old School.  This is Future Old School.
